You are at a gig, a reading, a party or show. You just need something that plays a sound on cue by hitting a button. The sampler above does just that.
But what if you need dedicated hardware because you don't want your mobile to ring while gigging? We've got you covered.
The sampler above runs on your phone or computer.
Or the web sampler for free to try out or work with. No sounds at hand to try it out?
Load one of twelve free packs and play it right there.
Nothing to sign up for, no cloud, no vendor lock-in, nothing leaves your machine. About €35 for a Cardputer ADV, or €85 for a Tab5, plus €19.90 for the instrument.
Answers for both devices and for the browser, where applicable.
The things it deliberately does not do are further down this page, and we would rather you read those too.
These are not tiers and neither one is the real one. They are the same instrument in different bodies, and which is better depends entirely on where you are standing.
Small keys are quick and they are small. A big touch screen is easy to hit and will not go in a coat. Nobody can tell you which of those matters more on your stage.
Buy a sampler and you have bought one sampler. Outgrow it, or drop it, and you buy another one.
Here you buy the instrument, and it runs on every device we support. Start on the small one, move to the big one later, keep both, replace a broken one with the same model for the price of the hardware. The licence follows you rather than the box.
Kits move with you too. A card written on one device plays on the other, unchanged.
No subscription and no account. Updates are free and published here whenever there are any, including support for devices we add later. What you download is yours and keeps working for good, with or without us.
You have already heard it with your own samples before paying for anything. That is deliberate: it is a better promise than a refund policy, and one we can actually keep.
From OpenELAB in Munich, delivered in two or three days; openelab.de for delivery inside Germany. We don't stock it, ship it, or mark it up, and the prices are theirs, not ours: about €35 for the ADV and €85 for the Tab5, checked September 2026. Add a microSD card if you haven't got one: 16 GB is plenty, and a smaller card starts faster.
Plug it in, click install. Chrome or Edge on a desktop. No toolchain, no command line, no account.
Drop your own audio into the editor and lay it out on pads. Plug the device in and it turns up as a drive, so you copy the folder across like any other file. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Length is bounded by the card, not by memory.
No limit to run into, and no date to run out. This is not a cloud service: once you have the file, this website could go down in flames and the instrument would still be working. Nothing in it checks in with a server, there is no account and no activation, and updates are free, published here as plain files whenever there are any.
